    Mission

    Are you an experienced professional in the field of QHSSE and want to play a key role in the implementation, support, and advising of our QHSSE management system? Furthermore, are you able to build the bridge between shore and offshore and visit our vessels on a regular basis, then we look forward to your response!

     Your main responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the QHSSE care within the assigned business unit with a fleet of over 25 vessels.
    • Implementing, updating, reviewing, and auditing the QHSSE systems.
    • Ensuring timely updates in line with legislation and company guidelines.
    • Conducting internal QHSSE audits (ISO/ISM/ISPS/MLC) and managing external audits at the office and on assigned ships.
    • Managing incident and accident investigations.
    • Supporting departments with QHSSE-related matters (internally and for charters/projects).
    • Ensuring proper HSE reporting of the assigned vessels.
    • Preparing QHSSE documentation for new tenders.
    • Initiating necessary QHSSE safety inductions and/or training for staff and crew.
    • Participating in or organizing risk assessment sessions, such as HAZOP.

    Location: Den Helder The Netherlands
    Full-time: 40 hours per week

    Profil

    • A completed MVK or NEBOSH degree in which you bring the necessary experience. Possession of a HVK degree is a plus.

    • Demonstrated knowledge and several years’ experience and skill in the field of maritime safety and environment. Seafaring experience is a plus.
    • Extensive experience with QHSSE Management Systems, incident investigations, QHSSE auditing techniques, and risk management in a similar role in the shipping industry.
    • Familiarity with risk assessment techniques such as HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, and others.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISM, ISPS, MRV, MLC, and other relevant standards and codes is a plus.
    • DPA/CSO certification is a plus.
    • Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time and regularly visit our ships.

    • Strong organizational skills, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize in a dynamic work environment.
    • Strong analytical, auditing, and reporting skills.

    • Able to see the bigger picture and support internal and external stakeholders.
    • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
    • Excellent knowledge of office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
